Telarix and Telesmart: governed operational control for Cloud Numbers at scale

Telarix, a global leader in interconnect and settlement solutions, has partnered with Telesmart to extend its Cloud Numbers proposition with governed, API-enabled operational control — giving service providers a consistent operating model across markets, suppliers and communications environments.

Telarix — a global leader in interconnect and settlement solutions, headquartered in London with over 25 years in telecommunications and a customer base of hundreds of global operators, carriers and aggregators — has partnered with Telesmart to strengthen its existing Cloud Numbers proposition, iXTools, with a governed, API-enabled operational control layer.

Why this partnership

Telarix's Cloud Numbers proposition already gives its customers access to global number inventory. What it gained through this partnership is Telesmart's customer-facing workflows, API enablement and operational control — the layer that governs a number's lifecycle, compliance state and behaviour before it enters execution. The joint proposition targets telecom operators, wholesale carriers, CPaaS providers and digital service providers managing large-scale number estates: exactly the buyers for whom operational consistency across markets and suppliers is the harder problem, not access to numbers itself.

What it delivers

Telarix customers gain a fully integrated solution spanning number purchasing, provisioning, lifecycle management, routing control, compliance workflows and the operational processes around number supply and porting — described in the partnership announcement as enabling Telarix customers to "capture new revenue from Cloud Numbers through a seamless customer experience they control, from number purchase through to call termination."

Nick Cowley, Senior Vice President and General Manager, Telarix:

"Our partnership with Telesmart gives our customers greater operational control over the number services underpinning cloud communications with a fully integrated solution end to end. Operators increasingly need API-enabled operational models that allow them to scale services consistently across multiple markets, suppliers and communications environments. Together, we are helping service providers introduce operational consistency, customer control and automation across those ecosystems."

Neil Kitcher, CEO, Telesmart:

"Telecom operating models are changing rapidly as services become increasingly software-driven and API-enabled. Cloud number services only scale properly when operators maintain clear operational control over the lifecycle, compliance state and behaviour of their communication identifiers before services enter execution. Telarix customers gain access to a governed API-enabled operational control layer for telecom numbers, provisioning, routing, lifecycle management and service validation while leveraging Telarix's global operational and interconnect environment."

What it signals

This partnership is structurally distinct from a customer deployment: rather than Telesmart governing one operator's own estate, Telarix's existing customer base — hundreds of operators, carriers and aggregators worldwide — gains access to that same governed operational layer through Telarix's own Cloud Numbers platform. It is a genuine ecosystem play: Telesmart's governance model extending its reach through a partner already serving the exact market this platform is built for.

This partnership was announced on 18 May 2026, under the current "Telesmart" brand identity.
